I wish to pass on my condolences to the Family of my good friend, Ernie Marshall. I officiated volleyball back in the 70's 80's and early 90's and I always loved coming to UE to see Ernie and her well coached team. She touched many lives over her career as a teacher and coach. Over the years, I have often thought about my friend and relive memories of the many games I have done at UE. This included a season ending showdown between unbeaten Windsor and unbeaten UE many years ago in a packed gym at UE. She was a very special lady and was an inspiration to me. Thank you Ernie.

Jason, My Mother, Mary Lou Mastroe, was a dear friend of your Mother's. I was saddened to hear of her passing and just wanted you to know how much my Mom thought of both you and your Mom. I know it was a long time ago that she babysat you, but you and your Mom were always in her thoughts.

My deepest sympathy to the Marshall Family, relatives and friends. We in Johnstown had but 2 teachers of African American decent, and Ms. Savage was one of the two. I remember she brought the Sock Hop to Joe Johns in 1962. She will always be fondly remembered. Ramona A. Christian
