William P. McLaughlin, 93 , of Rockway Beach, NY, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 19, 2016. He was predeceased by his two wives, Virginia McLaughlin and Louise McLaughlin; a brother Jim McLaughlin. He is survived by his daughter and son in law Virginia Watts-Smith and Ralph Smith, Endicott; son and daughter in law William and Laurena McLaughlin, Millsboro, DE; seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; thirteen nieces and nephews; three special cousins; and many friends especially his friends at the Endwell Senior Center. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott. He was a retired Captain with the FDNY, a veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army, was a member of the American Legion and former Commander of the New York State American Legion.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am from St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Thursday from 4-7 pm.
