James (Jim) Boehlert, 75, of Endicott, entered unexpectedly into eternal salvation surrounded by his entire loving family, Wednesday, June 27, 2012. He is pre deceased by his parents, Mary and Al, brothers, Al and Eddie, sisters, Jean, Carol and Doris. Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Pat; son, Jim(Roxanne) Boehlert; daughters, Linda Raymond and Cathy (Henry) Alvarez; grandchildren, Josh (Lea), Christopher, Bobby, Carly, Nick and Jimmy; great-grandchildren Oliver and Miles; sisters, Diane (Ed) Brown of Florida, Judy Schram of Utica, NY and Beth(Don) Skermont of Utica, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews. Jim was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. He served in the United States Army where he was an expert marksman. He was an avid golfer, having had 2 holes in one, and especially enjoyed playing golf with his son, grandsons, his men’s association buddies at Enjoie golf course. He was not only an incredible husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather (Big Pop-Pop), but a true inspiration to his entire family. We have not only lost a great man of incredible family values, work ethic and pride, we lost our best friend as well. He was our rock and he will be sorely missed. He was fair, understanding and never passed judgment. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 am from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. Interment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Friday from 4-7 pm. In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Jim’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or the charity of one’s choice.
