Jewel G. Springer, 90, of Endicott, went to be with her Lord from Wilson Memorial Hospital Thursday, January 10, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Springer and a son, Charles D. Springer. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Robert Paul, Virginia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Gail Springer, Endicott and Timothy and Darceia Springer, Endwell; one daughter-in-law, Judith Springer, Endwell; eleven grandchildren, Pamela, Derek, Kimberly, Brandy, Erik, Jesse, Tyler, Lisa, Karen, Steven and Marybeth; eleven great-grandchildren, Noah, Ruby, Willow, Sully, Nolan, Orion, Evan, Jason, Rick, Bradley and Carley; two sisters-in-law, Isabelle Lipka and Marie Springer; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott and a former member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott. She was a retired employee of G.E. Westover. Jewel was an avid worldwide traveler. She loved her family and her Irish heritage and the Boston Celtics. The family wishes to thank Dr. Gehring, the Coronary Care Unit and South Tower 3 at Wilson Memorial Hospital for the loving care given to Jewel. Funeral services will be held Monday, 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home on Sunday from 2-4 pm. Expressions of sympathy in Jewel’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
