Michele D. Murphy, 58, of Endicott, New York passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 after a long and courageous battle. She is survived by Thomas Murphy, her caring husband of 36 years and her son Robert, the pride and joy of her life, her loving mother Patricia Dwyer, one brother Michael (Mick) Dwyer; two sisters, Kathleen Dwyer and Mary Wagner; niece and nephew, Megan Wagner and Patrick Wagner; mother-in-law Ruth Murphy as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Arthur Dwyer and her father-in-law Walter Murphy. Michele was a very caring and giving person who always thought of everyone else before herself. She loved to do crafts, quilting, go on quilt shop hops and road trips. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Michael Barrett, his nurse Vicky, the nurses and staff of Seton 3 at Lourdes Hospital and Dr. Arum Sheth and his wonderful and caring staff. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10 am. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Flynn, Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from 2-4 and evening 7-9 pm.
