Sharon “Shawnie” Lozzi, 79 of Endicott died Monday evening, February 25, 2013. Sharon “Shawnie” Lozzi, 79 of Endicott died Monday evening, February 25, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Anne Boland of Owego, and her husband Mario D. “Mutt” Lozzi, Endicott, of 56 years. She is survived by her two sons, and their wives, David C. and JoEllen Lozzi of Endicott; and Mario M. and Sandra Lozzi of Pahrump, N.V. One brother and sister-in -law James and Alice Boland of Florida, and three sisters and two brother in laws; Judy and Louis DeSantis of Owego, Rosemary and Nicholas Holobosky of Barton; and Kathleen Kersat of Endicott. Also, many loving nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends she made throughout her life which she treated as her extended family. Sharon was a member of the Church of the Holy Family. She took pride in being a Teacher’s Aide at Maine Memorial School, and enjoyed reading, helping others, gatherings, and meeting with her close long time friends in their “Stitch and Bitch Club”. You will be greatly missed mom. No one could brighten a room with their smile and big blue eyes like you could. You are now with dad eternally in heaven, it comforts us knowing that you both will be there to greet us one day. The family would like to thank the devoted staff at Vestal Medical Associates, especially Dr. Wieslaw Piller, as well as all of the wonderful Doctors and Nurses at Lourdes Emergency Room, I.C.U. and P.C.U Floors, and the 4th Floor Vent Unit Staff at Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. Funeral Services will be held Monday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Family, Endwell at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Sunday from 2-5 pm.
