Warren H. Ames, 81, passed away at Wilson Hospital Monday, May 3, 2010.He was predeceased by his parents, Leigh and Dorothy Ames and a brother, Elwyn Ames. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Ames; two sons and a daughter in law, Christopher Ames, Endicott and Dorian and Michele Ames, Vestal; five granddaughters, Kelly and Jeff Feeko; Lindsay and Patrick Ousterout; Peri Ames; Lauren Ames and Catherine Ames; a great grandson Noah Feeko; also several nieces; nephews; cousins and a special friend, George Fortel.Warren was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott, a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army Airborne Rangers, was formerly employed at the Hershey Creamery in Maine, NY and retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Conservation in Binghamton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 6 pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 W. Main Street, Endicott.Burial will be in Maine Cemetery at the convenience of the family.The family will receive friends at church Wednesday from 4 pm until Mass time at 6 pm.
