June K. Myers, 88, of Vestal, peacefully went into the arms of Jesus Saturday, July 14, 2012at Good Shepherd Villages in Endwell.She is predeceased by her husband Wayne C. Myers; brothers James and Richard Taylor; sisters Julia McDill and Alice Cole.She is survived by her five children and their spouses Norman (Karen) Myers, Rossville, GA; Valerie (Larry) White, Corvallis, OR; Clayton Myers; Rebecca (Bruce Jr.) Barney and Vernon (Linda) Myers, all of Vestal; brother Bruce (Norma) Taylor, Cody, WY; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.June was born in Endicott in 1924 to Inez and George Taylor.She graduated valedictorian of Union-Endicott High School in 1942.June worked as a secretary at IBM, Endicott for nearly ten years before spending the rest of her life loving and raising her five children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.June was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church, Endicott. She enjoyed her bowling league for a number of years, volunteered at African Road School, wrote to pen pals for over 60 years in California and Kansas and she enjoyed reading. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 3 pm from First Presbyterian Church, 29 Grant Avenue, Endicott, with Pastors Tim and Jan Devine officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm and Thursday at church from 2 pm until service time at 3 pm. In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in June’s memory may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Endicott or thecharity of one’s choice.
