Tom Martin, 75, ended his battle with stomach cancer and entered the presence of his Lord on January 11, 2013. Tom Martin, 75, ended his battle with stomach cancer and entered the presence of his Lord on January 11, 2013. Born in New Castle, PA he was predeceased by his father, Joseph Martin; mother, Elizabeth Martin; brother, Joseph Martin Jr. and sister, Dolores Soldo. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Diane; three children, Todd (Angela) Martin, Warren Center, PA; Robin (John) Edgecomb, Bowdoinham, ME; Jodi Martin (Phil Villatora), Kapa’a, HI; grandchildren, David (Julie) Martin, Daniel (Sarah) Martin, Mitchell Martin, Morgan Sanyshyn, Emily Wesoloski, Rachel Wesoloski, Paige Wesoloski and three great-grandchildren. Tom is also survived by his father-in-law, John W. Johnson; brother-in-law, Robert (Kathy) Johnson; brother-in-law, John Soldo; sister-in-law, Clare Martin and nine nieces and nephews. Tom retired from IBM after 33 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Endicott. Tom was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 234 in West Corners. He enjoyed helping others via Habitat for Humanity and similar organizations. Tom also enjoyed antique automobiles and was a member of the Iroquois Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Tuesday from 4-7 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30 am. at First Presbyterian Church of Endicott, 29 Grant Avenue, Endicott, with Inurnment to follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Tuscarora Campmaster Fund c/o Baden-Powell Council Boy Scouts of America 2150 NYS Rt-12 Binghamton, NY 13901.
